Lovely Rose Potholder Made from Crochet Thread

Posted by Ronnie on January 30, 2012 at 12:05 PM

The photo below is of a lovely potholder I just finished. I love how it came out. I'm going to try it in different colors. One of the ladies on my crochet group mentioned dishcloths on the Maggies Crochet blog. When I went to check it out I found potholders which I love!!!

There are lots of similar vintage potholder patterns made using crochet thread on the internet.  I have been searching and collecting sites in my favorites. I hope to do a hub on my findings some time this week.  You can check out my hubs here.

You can find the potholder below and other beautiful patterns at Best Free Crochet..  It's titled "Round Rose Potholder". It is double-sided. One side is all one color, white and has no flower. But you can make the other side any color you want. This is so easy to make! Works up fairly quickly and easy to sew together. I'm sure you could just do one side for a dishcloth.

That is lovely! It has a real retro look to it.

Thank you, Beth. I enjoyed making it. I'll be posting some "retro" dishcloths later today.

Hi Venita!

Thanks so much. I love how the red and white pops! I'm thinking of trying a different pattern, similar but square instead of round. Thanks for visiting!
