Teddy Bear Made From Crochet Thread - Yeah!

Posted by Ronnie on March 26, 2012 at 7:00 PM

I've been trying to make amigurumi for quite some time. I have made quite a few little animals but didn't like any until this one.

I finally was able to take a pattern for a large teddy bear and make a tiny one using thread. She measures 4 inches tall. I have to admit my fingers felt cramped afterwards.

I put a cute little dress on her. The bow I crocheted and sewed to to the top of her head between her ears.  I think she is adoable!

Very nice! I always have trouble with the face. You make the face give the bear a wonderful personality.

Thanks! I did purchase some of the little plastic eyes for the next one. I'll see which one I like best.

You are so right.....she is adorable! I have a tendency to crochet loosely and this has prevented me so far from trying thread, but you are making me consider it!

Thanks, Catlady. I had made the dress for a Heavenly Handfuls doll but it fit the little bear perfectly.

I also crochet loosely. So at times I just switch to a smaller hook. I used a #7 steel hook instead of a 6.
