I like to quickly work these up when I need a couple of new dishcloths. You can also use these as face cloths but I usually make my wash cloths square. You can pretty much use any cotton yarn you like and just change the hook size.
Round Dishcloth No Pattern Pattern
Two balls of size 10 crochet thread. You can use size 20 if you like or even size 3, I like size 10 because it makes a scrubbier dishcloth. I used two strands.
I used a size 1 steel crochet hook. I did the last couple of rounds using a size F hook.
Insert hook into first chain and dc 9 times. Slp stitch in 4th chain to form ring. Chain 2.
Dc in same stitch as slp stitch. 2Dc in every stitch all the way around. Slp stitch in top of chain 2.
We will continue working in rounds.
Chain 2. 2 DC in the back loop of each stitch. Slp stitch to top of ch2. You can see a pretty ridge is formed by working in back loops.
Ch2. Hdc in top of adjoining slp st. Hdc, 2hdc in next stitch, *hdc, 2hdc in next stitch. Continue around from *. Ch 2.
DC in each stitch. Slp stitch to top of ch 2. Ch 2.
*DC in 4 stitches, 2DC in next stitch. *Repeat around.Slip st in top of ch2. Ch 2.
Switch to larger F hook. DC around. Slp st in top of chain 2. Ch2.
Repeat last row. Join with slp stitch and chain 10. Slp stich to top of ch 2. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
This one measures approx 6 inches in diameter. For a larger cloth just keep rounding. You will need to add stitches as you go around or it will curl.
